The Lutheran Bible and Theological College Mwika has resorted to seek NACTVET registration of its NTA Levels 4, 5 and 6 (Basic Technician Certificate, Technician Certificate and Ordinary Diploma) in Music courses. According to the requirements of NACTVET standards; the developed curriculum for the aforementioned certificates courses must be certified by NACTVET prior to its implementation and student enrolment

Music courses have been taught since the establishment of the Lutheran Bible and Theological College Mwika, they were only meant for choral and clerical services in the Church. All courses credentials were only recognized in churches and in non-formal and informal arenas where organized music performances were taking place. But due to religious paradigm shift where church music is shifting from only a spiritual discipline to professional and economic tool, the need of standard certification and formalization is inevitable.
